Busts & Models in Scotland 1.0 The marble bust shown below is on display at the Theatre Royal Dumfries and is by the local sculptor John Dods.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 The image shown below is of a solid silver copy of the main statue in Ayr by G A Lawson. It is naturally slightly smaller than the bronzes on display at Alloway, Paris, Belfast and Perth. This icon was once owned by A. E. Pickard ("The Peoples' Millionaire"); a flamboyant Glasgow extrovert but its present location is not known.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 The bust shown below was secured for the Hall of Heroes in the National Wallace Monument, Stirling by the direct intervention of Andrew Carnegie. A multi-millionaire who was perhaps less of an extrovert than A E Pickard but whose donations and bequests were to have a much greater impact on the international growth of Burnsiana than any other individual.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.0 There are other busts and models in Scotland and the schedule of links given below is far from complete. Further additions would be welcome.
