Beware and caution - anything can be proved by statistics.   Charts and diagrams can be even more misleading.  Consequently only two approaches are published on this web site.

The first shows letters sent and received over a ten year period.  The other (which is part of a different project) shows the year 1792 against a ten year average (the average includes 1792).  

The charts which can be viewed by following the links below should only be given passing credence.
